FEMA Floodplain Management Regulations

Scott Consulting Engineers, P.C., has participated in several floodplain development projects involving the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).  To enhance efficiency and accuracy, we integrate standard Corps of Engineers evaluation methods with computer technology in phases of our floodplain projects.

Our experience includes:

• floodplain studies for new developments alongside FEMA designed floodplains and floodways
• preparation of Letters of Map Amendments (LOMA)
• preparation of Letters of Map Revision (LOMR)
• compliance with federal as well as local regulations regarding the effect of roadway and bridge projects on FEMA designated floodplains.
